Is Practicum Ledger affiliated with APPIC, ASHA or a match service?
No. Practicum Ledger is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to APPIC, ASHA, any match service, any application portal, or any other association or board. It is an independent helper for keeping your own records.
Can it send my hours to the internship application?
No. The application is the only record that counts, and it cannot import from this app. The totals page lays your figures out in the order the application asks for them so you can type them in by hand.
Which categories does it use?
By default, the categories in the practicum hours tracking guide published in September 2026 for the psychology internship application: intervention, assessment, integrated reports, supervision and support, with age groups, settings and supervisor credentials where the guide asks for them. The second set is the 2027 speech language pathology graduate clock hour categories. Every definition is on the categories page in our own words, with a link to the source.
Why are my totals a little higher than the minutes I logged?
The psychology guide asks for each activity to be rounded up to the next 15 minutes, so a 50 minute session counts as 1.00 hour. The log keeps your actual minutes and applies the rounding to each entry when it adds up. The speech language pathology set uses actual minutes, never rounded.
What happens to hours after 30 September?
Once you choose the year you apply, hours logged after 30 September of that year are shown separately, because they are described as anticipated experience rather than reported as accrued.
Does it tell me how many hours I need?
No. Minimums come from your own program, and there is no single number that is enough. Type your program's minimums in as targets and the app shows your pace and when you would reach them. For the speech language pathology set, the totals also show the numbers the 2027 standard itself states.
What is a client code?
An optional private label, such as C12, so the app can count how many different clients you saw in each category. Never type a client's name or anything that identifies them.
Where is my data?
Only in this browser, in local storage. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account. Export a backup from the log page, optionally locked with a passphrase, or a CSV for your program.
Can it tell me whether an activity counts or whether I am eligible?
No. Your program decides which experiences are practicum and your director of clinical training verifies your hours. The categories page explains where an activity usually goes; when in doubt, ask your program.
